ARRL - CW Contest 2010

over the weekend 20. 2.- 21.2. I participate in the ARRL CW Contest. The aim for this contest is to work only US and Canada Stations.

Propagation on the last day on sunday was good on 20 Meters till 22:00 local time in DL. only worked with a vertical Antenna for the 20 Meter Band and on 15 and 40 Meter with the Diamond BB6W Multiband Dipol.

My Results are ;

15 Meter ... 37 Qso -- 20 Meter ... 62 Qso --- 40 Meter ...15 Qso --- 80 Meter ....1 Qso

Total scores ... 21.735 + 63 Multi ......

this was my best results in ARRL cw contest i loggt 39 Qso more then in 2009 ! Cw is just my favorite mode on band.

WPX - RTTY - Contest 2010

during the weekend 13. - 14. February 2010 i took part in the cq ww rtty wpx contest.

268 Qso - 158.820 scores - 196 Multi ---

this was my best result in this contest. I try always from year to year having more qso then before so this time i made 80 qso more then in 2009. Is always a pleasure to participate in contest's.

BARTG RTTY CONTEST

Over the weekend I was active in BARTG RTTY CONTEST and I had my best result.

I reached 25.032 points and 149 Qso. I worked low power with a simple antenna Diamond BB6 W for 80, 40 and 15 Meters which i have installed on my balcony in about 7 - 8 Meters over ground. For 20 Meters I use my EH Vertical in 13 Meters over ground.

HA DX CONTEST

I was a bit active in HA DX CONTEST in cw mode. I did 51 Qso and reached 1397 scores what is not really much. I don't have those big antennas and I am using only 100 Watt pwr, but enjoy my dxing very much.I only wish that propagation would be better.

Visit Indiana in the United States several times in the past. I had my FT 857 D with in my package and operate from Fort Wayne. I was very impressed what I could do with a simple dipole and less then 100 watt to work the world in ssb. My favourite mode is cw but i had unfortunately no key with me and use the mode of ssb. I worked with YV5ZV- and VI9NI - and lot os USA and Europe was in my log. I repeat all logs wit a simple dipole outside in the yard hangig in a tree about 10 feet up from the ground.

For the first time i traveled to Romania. During my short visit in YO I had the chance to use the shack of my friend YO3FRI and operate on the bands in cw and ssb which I enjoed very much.I envy all hams with big antennas.

I worked lot of stations from Asia, USA, Europe and Africa. I enjoyed my stay in Romania and got back home with lot's of memories and over 100 Qso's in my logbook. Thanks to Tina YO3FRI that I could use your shack.
